Earlier in June a friend and I were invited to witness the feeding of an 18 year old boa. It was an intense few minutes waiting for the snake to strike but when it did, it was quite the spectacle. I took a video of it for posterity.
Apparently the snake eats two large rats every two weeks. I have one other smaller video and a couple pictures of the snake in the feeding process. The pictures came out quite well because of the flash. The videos are dark, regrettably. We didn’t want to disturb the snake to the point where it wouldn’t give us a show, though.
